About
I started my career in the electrical field back in 2005 when my then-fiance (now wife) referred me to an electrician friend in need of help. Though I never intended to make a career out of the trade, I found it highly rewarding both physically and mentally. I have worked in construction and building projects since a young age and stepping into the world of volts and amps came naturally. My boss saw my enthusiasm for learning and fed me all the information I could handle.
We moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2008 for me to finish my schooling at the American College of the Building Arts. I continued to study electrical theory and code on my own time while pursuing formal studies in historic preservation and timber framing. I graduated in 2010 and passed the exam to receive my electrical license that same year.
My time in school and on the job opened my eyes to a startling reality: how things should be done is not how they are done. The corners get cut. Things get missed. Critical items get overlooked or short-changed. Sometimes to save a buck. Sometimes because a craftsman doesn’t know or doesn’t care to do it the right way. Communication becomes hostile because of unmet expectations, and projects that should be a joy turn into a nightmare for both the customer and the builder.
Customers deserve better. Builders deserve better. People deserve better. Charleston deserves better.
I have made it my quest to build a company that can Deliver Better. I chose to specialize in aquatic-electric installations for two reasons. First, I was trained specifically in pool electrical and had a solid grasp of the pool-building process and world. Secondly, I knew aquatic environments were and are some of the most underserved markets in the industry. People don’t want to wonder if their pool is safe to swim in. Water and electricity deserve special attention from someone who knows and understands how to make them play safely. We at Safewater Electric are dedicated to Delivering Better by building our people, systems, and processes to handle the specific needs of the aquatic electric environment. While pools are our specialty, we also wire hot tubs, docks, outdoor wiring, and more…anytime water and electricity meet, we’re there!

Mission
We are dedicated to 'Deliver Better' in every aspect of aquatic electrical services. We build people, processes, and products that consistently surpass industry standards.
Trust is everything
Safewater is built on one foundational principle: trust. Trust isn't something that just magically exists because we say it does. Trust must be earned. And we're out to earn yours.
